- Revised RFQ **This solicitation has been amended to clarify the following information:** All offers SHALL include a 5 year, full replacement, manufactuer warranty. All offerors MUST specifically identify the warranty period at the time of offer. Any offer that does not not provide a 5 year warranty will NOT be considered. Any offeror who does not confirm the 5 year warranty in writing, will be deemed UNRESPONSIVE, and that offer removed from the competitive range. If you have already provided a quote, you DO NOT need to re-quote if your batteries already offer a full 5 year warranty. However, you MUST provided a written (email) confirmation of the warranty period. A revised Request for Quote (RFQ) has been included in the solicitation to reflect the addition of Line Item (3) for warranty period. If you have not provided an offer, please use the updated RFQ. ********************************************************************** The Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Florence, intends to issue a single-award purchase order for the acquisition of (220) EA, 12V, batteries, 350 Watt, 5 Year Warranty, for UPS back up system. This acquisition has been Set-Aside for SMALL BUSINESS ONLY. All offerors shall have an "Active" status and registered in the System for Award Management, SAM.gov, prior to the closing of this solicitation. The evaluation criteria for award will be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable, (LPTA), and the acquisition shall be "Exact Match Only" to the supplied specifications. Any substituted items shall include a manufacturer's specification/cut sheet with the offer. All substitutions shall fully meet the Government requirement, and determination of acceptable substitutions will be made by the Government Subject Matter Expert. All offers/quotes shall include any applicable shipping, handling, and freight charges to FCC Florence at the address listed in the solicitation. Offeror's may use the supplied Request for Quote form that is attached this solicitation, or may provide a formal quote. Any offeror who fails to provide a specification sheet for a substituted item at the time of quote submission may be eliminated from the competitive range and deemed "Unresponsive". Please reference the attached Request for Quote and Specification Sheet for additional technical information regarding the requirement. Offerors shall utilize electronic mail (email) for submission of offers. All questions regarding the requirement or solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Primary Point of Contact designated in the solicitation. **Solicitation has been Amended to EXTEND the "Response Date" to: November 5, 2018, 12:00PM, MST.** ************************************************************** SUMMARY OF QUESTION RECEIVED: As a battery vendor, we feel the industry standard for this class of battery to be (3) years. Can the requirement for a 5 year warranty be removed? ANSWER: The Government has reviewed the question/request and has determined that several manufactueres offer batteries that fully meet the Government requirement, including a 5 year warranty. **************************************************************
