Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL) located in Research Triangle Park, NC has a requirement for a Inductively Coupled-Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) integrated with an Ion-Chromatography (IC) system, to include additional accessories including water chiller, gas kits and other required accessories needed for operation in normal and kinetic energy discrimination (i.e., collision cell) mode with a 1 year Manufacturer's warranty covering all parts, labor, travel expenses and preventive maintenance, along with an additional 1 year extended warranty. This requirement will be accomplished under FAR Part 8 via GSA eBuy under SIN 632 10. However, the accessories, printer, software, installation and on-site support trainings are open market items. The purpose of this notification is to meet the requirement to synopsize contract actions (open market items) expected to exceed $25,000 IAW FAR 5.201. It is our intent to award a single, fixed price delivery order for the Inductively Coupled-Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) integrated with an Ion-Chromatography (IC) system, to include additional accessories including water chiller, gas kits and other required accessories needed for operation in normal and kinetic energy discrimination (i.e., collision cell) mode, including printer, software, installation and on-site support trainings as a result of the solicitation issued via GSA eBuy. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETATIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to separately compete the accessories, printer, software, installation and on-site support trainings for this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Documentation must be submitted within 10 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice. Submit your request in writing to Tammy Adams via email at adams.tammy@epa.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored.
