- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Oxford Instruments America, Inc., Address: 300 Baker Avenue, Suite 150, Concord, MA 01742 for the purpose of maintenance for the Oxford Instruments Aztek Energy Dispersive X-ray System (EDS). This maintenance is in support of an existing maintenance agreement that covers the Oxford Instruments Aztek Energy Dispersive X-ray System (EDS). Based on market research, it has been determined that this procurement action can only be facilitated with Oxford Instruments America, Inc. for continued uniformity for this equipment. Uniformity is required to ensure continued safety and appropriate maintenance of the equipment. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Allison Culley, Email Address: aculley@fbi.gov by Wednesday, November 14, 2018 (10:00 AM EST). Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
