- Event: US Air Force Airfield Inspection Management System (AIMS) - Industry Day Audience: Members of the DoD and Industry Representatives When: 31 January 2019 0800-1600 Where: AFFSA 5316 S. Douglas Blvd Twaddle Bldg 9001 Oklahoma City, OK 73150 Abstract: The US Air Force Airfield Inspection Management System (AIMS) is envisioned to be a software or a software/hardware solution that can be used during the inspection of airfield surfaces and facilities to determine, identify, report, and follow-up on the condition, availability and functionality of airfields and equipment. The system must collect, sort and analyze functional capabilities supporting and enabling a broad range of operations with the goal of combining inspection and reporting into a sustainable, scalable tool to standardize airfield management across Air Force bases. The system will support Airfield Management (AM) duties and responsibilities as identified in Air Force Instruction 13-204V3, Chapter 17, required to provide effective and real time assessment and reporting of airfield conditions. AFI 13-204v3 should be used as reference only. The current planning strategy is to purchase at a minimum one hundred software licenses or software/hardware systems to be distributed throughout US Air Force both in CONUS and OCONUS. Reference RFI # FA8730-AIMS-FRI-13Feb18 for desired capabilities. Who should attend? Vendors who sell or develop products that are applicable to this request, and DoD representatives. Representatives should be technically knowledgeable and have a firm understanding of the direction of both Industry and DoD policy. Industry Day Goals: Facilitate communication between DoD and Industry representatives Incorporate Industry comments into the acquisition development process Gain a better understanding of recent Industry developments /capabilities Provide updates to Industry on future DoD developments and acquisitions Agenda: Final agenda to be drafted and released following participant list finalization. •1. AIMS project overview •2. General question session •3. Individual product demonstrations (one on one) •a. Inform the government contact if you will be demonstrating your product •b. No government hardware will be available for demonstrations •c. Demonstrations should be self-contained with vendor equipment •d. Thirty (30) minutes will be provided for demonstration •4. Closing remarks Responses to this Industry Day notice are requested by close of business on Dec 11, 2018 3:00 PM Eastern.
