Description

The Government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Air Power Services, Inc., 530N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola, FL 32506-5859 (CAGE Code 0GJS2) for two (2) Kaeser Model SK20 oil flooded rotary low pressure air compressors with cooling option, two (2) Kaeser Model TC-31 Cycling Refrigerated Air Dryer, two (2) Mako OEM crankcase oil heaters, 1 each Kaeser Air Receivier, 1 each Mako CO/Moisture system #MKBCM110. Requiring on-site delivery, installation, configuration and integration with current system, and end user training. Air Power Services, Inc. is the authorized reseller of all these brands that can provide, install, cover warranty and services. This equipment replacement is integral to the continued operation of the NEDU's Ocean Simulation Facility (OSF) and is vital in supporting NEDU'S mission. Air Power Services has provided highly successful past performance in supporting equipment replacement and overhaul services on similar equipment under prior contracts for NEDU. The requested Kaeser low pressure air compressors desired for replacement, support crucial NEDU mission operations through the provision of low pressure air used in hyperbaric saturation chambers for control systems critical to diver's life support. In accordance with the Diving and Manned Hyperbaric Systems Safety Certification Manual, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) SS521-AA-MAN-010, "replacement components or equipment must meet all of the original components or equipment design criteria." The Kaeser brand provides such models with the capability of meeting the exacting standards of the original design criteria.
