Description

This is a Synopsis announcement in accordance with FAR 5.202 in anticipation of a future contract and Basic Ordering Agreement award. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement to contract for an anticipated (10) Virginia Class Submarine Propulsor Rotors, Virginia Class Submarine Propulsor Rotor Scoop Bar sets, and Virginia Class Submarine Propulsor Stator Blade shipsets. The anticipated contract will include separately-priced options for FY19-FY23 Virginia Class boats. The Navy has determined that the use of other than full and open competition is appropriate to award a contract to Rolls-Royce Marine North America (RRMNA), 110 Norfolk St., Walpole, WA 02081 as the only proven source with the in-depth requisite tooling, methodologies, capabilities, experience, and expertise to meet the Navy's technical requirements for the manufacture of Virginia Class Submarine Propulsor Rotors and Stator Blades in the timeframe necessary to meet the Navy's demand.
