- 1 RENOVATE MARCH ARB BLDG 2640 PHASE II OBJECTIVE SCOPE OF WORK General Requirement: Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, engineering, and services for renovation of approximately 3,935 sqft of Bldg 2640 located on March ARB to support and conduct VA medical administration functions; call center; finance, budget, contracting, conferencing, and training for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, California. Project Scope: Renovate existing lease space. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS General Construction services: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the project as indicated on the attached contractual documents. The project will involve but not be limited to trades required for: In coordination with Interior Design and MARB, remove all furniture and cubicle partitions to contractor provided dumpster. Demolition of approx. 3,935 sf of double layer carpet Remove approx. 2800 lf of cove base Remove approx. 12,000 sf of wall coverings (vinyl and carpet) Orange peel texture paint approx. 12,000 sf of wall surface Paint approx. 10 door frames Install government provided carpet and cove base. Carpet and cove base is on site. Provide and install corner guards Demo existing cat 3 data cabling from work area and run new CAT6 cabling from VA IDF. Each work station shall have a tri-plex terminated, tested and labeled at outlet and on the switch in VA IT room. Extend fiber and copper as needed. Make electrical connections on systems furniture to bldg. electrical via whips. Coordination with Interior Design and furniture plan for locations. Contractor shall perform terminal cleaning prior to acceptance. All employees of the general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with the VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. Prior to commencing work, the general contractor shall provide proof that an OSHA certified competent person (CP) (29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2) will maintain a presence at the work site whenever the general or subcontractors are present. Prior to the commencement of work, the general contractor shall conduct a site walk with the VA COR and VA Interior Designer. The general contractor shall establish and maintain a fire protection program in accordance with 29 CFR 1926. The general contractor shall implement and maintain a dust control program. Contractor will provide all documentation per Specifications and validated by the submittal registry to the COR prior to work.
