- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE Services, Olympus OER-Pro Preventative Maintenance and Repair THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. This is a notice of intent to solicit Olympus America Inc. for preventative maintenance and repair services for Olympus OER-Pro endoscope reprocessors. Services include all repair parts, transportation, service, calibration, loaner equipment and software to perform full annual repair coverage and preventative maintenance on OER-Pro equipment. Services require guaranteed 2-hour phone and 48-hour onsite response by the contractor s field service engineer. Preventative maintenance and repair services require Olympus proprietary software. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Classification Code: J065 NAICS: 811219 Estimated Period of Performance: January 14, 2019 through January 13, 2020, with two one-year options. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. Any responses received by January 7, 2019 12:00 PM Eastern will be considered by the Government. If the Department of Veterans Affairs does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the afore mentioned date, in accordance with FAR 13.501, efforts to obtain these services will be continued with Olympus America Inc. A fixed priced contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
