Description
The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract for the Shasta Dam Spillway Repair, RAX 638 project. This procurement is set-aside for HUBZone Concerns only. Solicitation will follow Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process and will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) using FAR Part 15, contracting by Negotiation procedures. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $36.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. The work is located at Shasta Dam approximately 9 miles north of Redding, California, in Shasta County. PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK The following is a listing of the principal components of work, but does not address all work items or tasks required for completion of the project: A. Removing and filling concrete voids and deteriorated concrete areas on the spillway face B. Concrete replacement will include drilling and installing concrete reinforcing C. Due to the location of this work, the access and safety protocols for the concrete work will be a significant component of the work. Solicitation 140R2019R0004 will be posted electronically via www.fbo.gov and www.fedconnect.net on or about February 4, 2019. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately March 6, 2019. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award.
