Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the DESIGN-BID- BUILD Construct New Radiation Oncology Suite Minor Construction project at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center (VAMC). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes, but not limited to, the construction of new vaults for two new linear accelerators in a 7,900sf addition located east of and adjacent to the main hospital along with renovating 7,100sf of existing space within the basement of the hospital. Additionally, the hospital s mobile PET / MRI trailer tunnel and hookup will also be modified as part of this project. There is also a space within the interior renovation scope that will be renovated for Logistics and their access to dumbwaiters serving the second-floor operating room spaces. The contractor shall follow the 100% CD [addendum 1] drawings and specifications for this construction project. During the construction, the contractor shall protect the existing buildings and historical structures from any damage from ongoing construction. PROCUREMENT INFORMATION: ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36.3 Design-Bid-Build Selection Procedures and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 21, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 545 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Jason.schultz@va.gov.
