Description
Design-Bid-Build P-310 Dry Dock 1 Super Flood Basin, P-1074 Extend Portal Crane, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME Date: Thursday, January 17, 2019 Time: 0900 - 1500. Location: The Regatta Room, Eliot, ME NAVFAC is seeking industry feedback for P-310 Dry Dock 1 Super Flood Basin, P-1074 Extend Portal Crane in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine. The project includes: P-310 - Construct a new 150,000 SF superflood basin outside of existing Dry Dock #1, modifies an existing caisson to serve as the superflood basin gate, and constructs new portal crane and railroad rails along Berths 1 and 2. P-1074 - Construct additional portal crane rails at Berths 1 and 2 to support load testing and heavy-lift capabilities along with various utility improvements to support enhanced LA class maintenance and overhaul capabilities at Dry Dock #1. The estimated range of construction cost for this project is $100-$250 million. At this Industry Day, specific feedback concerning phasing, scheduling, task challenges, and acquisition strategy will be requested. This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 237990 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition plan. Please provide the attached Local Visitor Request Form, the name of the firm, and the names and email addresses of the individuals who will be attending. This event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with NAVFAC. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, promise to contract, or commitment of any kind on the part of the Government.
