- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Intuitive Surgical, LLC 1266 Kifer Road, Bldg. 101, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. The period of performance for contract award will be from March 10, 2019 to March 9, 2020. This requirement is to provide a twelve (12) month maintenance services for the DaVinci Si HD Dual Console Surgical Robotic System for the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210-2716. Intuitive Surgical, LLC is the only known provider since the software is propriety and maintenance can only be provided by the OEM Intuitive Surgical, LLC. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by January 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
