- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only This is a Sources Sought Notice, and is for informational/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. Responses to this sources sought announcement may be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for this notice is 541715. The Program Executive Office, Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives (PEO ACWA) is responsible for destroying the remainder of the United States' chemical weapons stockpiles at both the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo, Colorado and at the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD) in Richmond, Kentucky. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program supports the national security strategy to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) to include, chemical warfare materiel. In addition, the PEO Armaments and Ammunition (PEO - A&A) is responsible for destruction and disposal of conventional high explosive (HE) munitions and is seeking high throughput, transportable options to achieve its demilitarization mission. The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) has the mission and experience to develop and test Government and commercial technologies that destroy chemical warfare materiel. Together, these four (4) organizations share a common goal to seek new and innovative ways to demilitarize chemical and conventional weapons safely and effectively.
