- QUESTION AND ANSWER FROM 36C24519Q0088 SOLICITATION FOR WATER FILTER FOR SPS 20 MICRON ORIGINAL SOLICITATION ATTACHED FOR REFERENCE. PLEASE SEE THE BELOW Q&A AND RESPOND WITH UPDATED/REVISED QUOTE NO LATER THAN JANUARY 10 AT 3:00 PM. The description of the water filter uses the term duplex filter assembly with each assembly consisting of two filter housings, 4 pressure gauges, 4 butterfly values, connecting piping fasteners and miscellaneous material. Is it correct to assume that duplexing means to connect the filter housings in parallel? With one pair of housings for the hot water line and the other pair of housing for the cold water. We have attached a sketch depicting our understanding of your requirements. One filter assembly consists of two filters with necessary pipes valves, fittings and gauges. The filters will be in a parallel configuration. One of the filters of the assembly would be in service at any given time. The other filter of the assembly would be either being serviced or ready to be placed in service. Assuming our sketch is accurate, are there any isolation valves required? Or will the butterfly valves be used for flow control and isolation? The sketch is correct with the disclaimer that it is representative sketch and not the actual piping configuration. There are other valves that will be used for isolation of the filter assembly as well as the various devices downstream of the filters. The filter housings are required to be 304L stainless steel. Are the butterfly valves, pressure gauges and other components required to be 304L stainless also? The drawing, 7F023-2F-GPA-V-DPX indicates the butterfly valves wetted bodies parts are 316L stainless steel cast steel valve seat. the pressure gauges and other components should be of an appropriate material. Lastly, the Shelco part number 7FOS3-GPA-V-DPX provides for standard mounting legs. Can you confirm the standard mounting legs, as opposed to the heavy duty legs, are acceptable? Standard legs are acceptable. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (09-JAN-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
