- Description
- In May 2018, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Det 8/RVKDB issued a Request for Information to explore breakthrough research and development solutions for a higher power (> 50 W) sodium beacon laser for Starfire Optical Range. Since then, AFRL has made significant progress in acquisition planning and requirements definition, increasing the power requirements to (> 75 W) and expects to issue a solicitation during the first quarter of calendar year 2019.
