- Description
- The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with Rolls Royce Corporation, 2001 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, 46241 for performance based logistics support for the life-cycle sustainment of the Infrared Exhaust Suppressor (IES) system, IES components and associated IES equipment currently in use on U.S. Special Operations Aircraft. The intended contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
