- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests. The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide Hazardous Waste Removal Services at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to: Contractor shall provide complete pick-up, transportation off site, destruction and disposal, and Manifest documentation of services for hazardous and non-regulated waste generated at the VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia. Contractor shall provide an adequate supply of all necessary storage and transportation containers, and packaging materials required to fulfill the requirements of the resultant contract. Complete manifest documentation shall be provided at the time of pick up at the Salem VA Medical Center. Hazardous and non-regulated waste disposed of at our facility may contain certain amounts of anatomical remains. All hazardous and non-regulated waste shall be disposed in accordance with current Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Waste Management, Infectious Waste Management Regulations. Contractor shall transport all wastes accepted for disposal to an approved disposal facility. These facilities shall be available for inspection by authorized representatives of the VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia upon twenty-four (24) hours notice. List scope bullet form is best. List any required certificates and location restraints. If your company is interested in performing these services, please notify our office of your intent. In response, please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid as a prime contractor (capability statement); (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed above. Your response is required by: 12 NOON on 15 Jan 2019 All capable Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited.
