- This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Priced Purchase Order with only one source, R.F. MacDonald Co. The procurement is for the Purchase, Removal, Installation, and start-up for a Brand-Name Cleaver-Brooks ClearFire-CE Boiler intended to be provided by an authorized distributor and installer of the Cleaver-Brooks Boiler located at the McClellan Outpatient Clinic in McClellan, CA. This contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) and 41 USC §1901, only one will meet the Government s needs. Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the supplies and/or services. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide the Cleaver-Brooks ClearFire-CE Boiler, installation, and startup of the boiler may give written notice to joey.korst@va.gov by 4:00pm PST on January 18, 2019. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 333414 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. No telephone requests will be accepted.
