Description

This Request for Information is in support of market research being conducted by PMS 312 - In-service Aircraft Carriers. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to obtain information from interested potential sources regarding their specialized capabilities and experience to perform CVN preservation work. The Navy desires the performance of preservation work to include both critical and non-critical coated surfaces in spaces that include, but are not limited to, voids, plenums, catwalks, and tanks. (Specific spaces to be preserved will be defined in any subsequent solicitation). Such preservation work includes complete turnkey preservation of the space including cleaning, coating removal, necessary structural repairs and preserving to Navy Standards. The work also includes the necessary management, material support services, supplies, and equipment deemed necessary to perform depot level preservation. The work will be performed at Naval Station Norfolk or at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding's facility.
