In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this sources sought. Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran owned, Women Owned, etc Email Address Phone Number Physical Address Capability statement pertaining to Scope of Work Introduction The Lebanon VA Medical Center provides organist music during religious ceremonies each Sunday and during specific holiday or special events. To support this plan, the Lebanon VA Medical Center is seeking two (2) organists: one through the summer months and the other through the winter months. The organists will coordinate services consisting of playing the organ (and/or piano) every Sunday from October 1 to September 30. The playing for the services will include a prelude, the hymns selected by the on-duty Chaplain, any special music requiring organ accompaniment, and a postlude. The organist will practice/rehearse for the Sunday services during the prior week at a time convenient to both the VAMC Chapel and the organist. The contract shall be firm fixed BPA for 5 years. Locations Services shall be held at the Lebanon VA Medical Center s chapel VA Lebanon Healthcare System Chapel 1700 S Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042 CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall have the following qualifications: Shall have the ability to work with Protestant and Catholic Chaplains. Shall have the ability to sight-read and play from hymns maintaining note accuracy and tempo. Shall have the ability to play music and follow tempo marking, dynamics and rhythm with note accuracy. Shall have the ability to read and play traditional hymns. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall be responsible for providing services during Sunday Catholic Mass, Sunday Protestant Service, and other services performed in the Lebanon VA Medical Center Chapel as necessary. Contractor shall provide appropriate music for memorial services and funeral masses, when available, in cooperation with the family and the officiating chaplain upon the family and/or performing chaplain s request. Contractor shall not be paid by the government to play at funerals or weddings; however, the contractor may be hired by individuals who would like organ music played during these services. Contractor shall provide appropriate music for special events scheduled by the Lebanon VAMC in the Chapel, when available, in cooperation with the officiating chaplain upon the performing chaplain s request. If the contractor is unable to provide support for any scheduled service, the contractor shall it is her/his responsibility to notify the Lebanon VAMC Chapel in a timely manner. Contractor shall submit a monthly invoice via OB10 for services completed to the Chief, Chaplain Service. He/she should submit monthly invoices during the fiscal year. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS 1. Hours of Operation: The services covered by this contract shall be furnished by the contractor as defined herein. The contractor will not be required, except in case of emergency, to furnish such services on a national holiday which does not occur on a Sunday or during off duty hours as described below which the following meanings have: Work Hours Sunday 0800 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. plus a practice/rehearse time during the prior week at a time convenient to both the VAMC Chapel and the organist. National Holidays: The ten (10) holidays observed by the Federal Government are as follows: New Year s Day Martin Luther King s Birthday Washington s Birthday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Christmas Any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday.
