- TITLE: 65- Notice of Intent to Large Business SOL: 36325219Q0292 DUE: January 18, 2019 at 5:00PM CST SET ASIDE: none NAICS: 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) Size Standard: 1000 employees REQUESTING AGENCY: Network Contracting Office 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214 POC: Shari Lee; shari.lee@va.gov Mail all responses only to: Shari Lee at shari.lee@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SOLE-SOURCE LARGE BUSINESS VENDOR under FAR Part 13 procedures. The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Contracting Office 12 (NCO 12) intends to award on a sole source basis with General Electric. (DUNS: 073838534), pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5, FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and FAR 13.106-3. In Accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Justification and Approval for Sole Source is placed in the Contracting Officers contract files. This procurement, in accordance with FAR 13, is for Transesophageal applications. This part coordinates with the already existing GE Vivid E9 ultrasound system. The CO conducted market research and concluded that the best value for the Government in this emergent timeframe is to procure this item from the OEM, General Electric. GE also gave the VA credit for the damaged probe that was already returned to them. Item# (1) CVT-D TEE ultrasound transducer/probe. Compatible with GE Vivid E9 ultrasound system. It is used for Transesophageal applications. ** This item also includes credit for returning damaged probe to OEM** This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies/services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to January 18, 2019 at 5:00 PM CST. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Shari.Lee@va.gov and received by January 18, 2019 at 5:00 PM CST; bidders are responsible for ensuring their Expressions of Interest reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
