Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities in the Washington DC area that have the resources and capabilities to provide Medical Gas Supply System Inspection Services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Description of Work The contractor will provide all resources necessary to perform inspection and field testing in accordance with NFPA 99 standards on all Medical Gas outlets, alarms and source equipment in three buildings on the campus that include the Main Hospital, the Nursing Home Care Unit and the Renal Center. The systems to be inspected include the medical and dental air & vacuum systems, oxygen system, nitrous oxide system, nitrogen system, and the like. Technical Qualifications Contractor personnel must be technically competent and experienced in the field of medical gas and vacuum pipeline testing and meeting the requirements of ASSE 6030, Professional Qualifications Standard for Medical Gas Systems Verifiers. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: 1. Business name, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address). 2. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing medical gas system inspection services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare facilities. 3. GSA contract number, if your company has one, that includes line items covering these types of services in the Washington, DC geographical area. 4. Ballpark cost estimate of what the DC VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above. Responses must be submitted by 11:00 AM (EST) January 31, 2019. The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.).
