- NOTICE : This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine interest within Industry, and for information and planning purposes only. Interested Sources are encouraged to repond to the attached Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) to ensure the A-10 Division has the most current and accurate data moving forward. This potential requirement is for engineering services in support of the A-10 Aircraft; specifically, this requirement is for the Central Interface Control Unit (CICU) program as detailed below: PROGRAM DETAILS : This anticipated program is to modify the A-10 aircraft by redesigning the CICU. Due to its Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) there is a limited pool of critical component parts for SRU production & repair that deem the current CICU parts supportable for 2-5 more years assuming current demand and failure rates. A redesigned CICU is the most viable option for the Air Force that improves maintainability and is the best option for enduring the A-10 fleet. The scope of this requirement is to completely redesign the CICU to improve reliability and improve functionality within the A-10 Avionics suite..
