Description
**Note: This is a Request for Information only posting** Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) is looking for short range radars that can provide reliable detection and low false positives in a two-fence high security perimeter environment. Candidate radars will be tested to verify they can meet or exceed all United States (US) government physical intrusion detection requirements, including a nuisance alarm rate of 1 nuisance alarm per day (or less) in all weather conditions and be capable of detecting runners, walkers, and crawlers within the two-fence perimeter. The fences run parallel to each other and can be 30 to 60 feet apart. Detection range of the threats specified must be at least 350m. The targeted design life of the system is 10 or more years. The minimum alarm update rate is 2 Hz, the horizontal field of view should be 120 degrees or larger, the vertical field of view must be 30 degrees or larger. The radar may be used in a stand-alone configuration or may be "fused" with other sensors. If Sandia chooses to fuse the radar with other sensors, the data stream produced by the radar will be fed into Sandia developed advanced statistical algorithms and fused with one or more volumetric sensors with complementary phenomenologies. The resulting technology will more accurately detect intruders and differentiate intruders from nuisance alarm sources during all weather conditions and animals. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-JAN-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
