Description
NIIP B3.1 PUMP REPAIRS - Vertical Turbine Pumping Units The Bureau of Reclamation, Four Corners Construction Office (FCCO), has a need to repair two (2) Johnson Pumps located on the Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI) B3.1 Pumping Plant, located approximately 20 miles south of Farmington, NM. The pumps are leaking oil and water up through the column and out the tension box. Motor weight for B3.1AH is 2500 pounds. Pump weight 5630 pounds. Motor weight for B3.1C is 7900 pounds. Pump weight 13,860 pounds. All work (including installation and field testing) on the motor shall be completed within 60 days after notice to proceed. The Contractor shall provide a crane or any other means necessary to remove the motor, set it aside in the pumping plant on approved contractor supplied mounting blocks, remove the vertical turbine pump and load it on the Contractor ¿s vehicle. Typically, the Government removes the motor and pump utilizing a crane. The Contractor shall disassemble, inspect, and evaluate the pump. A detailed inspection report shall be prepared on the condition of the pump. The inspection report shall contain the readings for the mechanical fits and what the tolerances are for the pump. The Contractor to remove and replace all bowl and oil tube bushings with 660 bronze bushings or material approved by COR; finish bore and cut oil grooves; furnish and install new oil seals; remove and replace bronze bowl wear rings with 660 bronze and replace packing. The Contractor shall recoat the pump with the same coating that is on the pumps and coating shall be cured before reassembly (by the contractor). Upon completion of work on the pumps, the Contractor shall deliver, install and test pumps. A full report shall be provided to the Contracting Officer ¿s Representative. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The place of performance is 20 miles south of Farmington, New Mexico. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: A Performance Work Statement will be included in the solicitation, with an anticipated period of performance of 60 days after award date tentatively scheduled for March 25, 2019. COMPETITION: The solicitation is a total small business set-aside resulting in a purchase order that is a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The requirement shall be procured in accordance with FAR 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotes. The Government reserves the right to award with or without discussions. The complete specifications will be defined in the solicitation documents. NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $7.5 Million. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for solicitation is February 1, 2019. The anticipated quote due date is March 4, 2019 at 12 pm MDT local time.
