- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA. intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition basis from Boeing Aerospace Operations Inc., 6001 S. Air Depot Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK, a five year Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Task Order Contract with an estimated level of effort of 55,680 hours per year or a total of 278,400 hours for the five-year period to provide Contractor Engineering Services (CETS) for the purpose of informing, instructing and training Navy, Marine Corps military and civilian personnel in the installation, operation and maintenance of avionic systems on the AV-8B, EA-18G, and F/A-18 series aircrafts. Boeing Aerospace Operations Inc. is the developer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the avionic systems to be supported and is the only source available with the requisite proprietary engineering and technical data and specific technical support personnel knowledgeable of these avionic systems to support the effort mentioned above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firms believing they can fulfill the requirement of providing these services for the AV-8B, EA-18G, and F/A-18 airframe, avionic, and electrical systems as mentioned above may submit a written response by 23 November 2012, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation N68936-13-R-0010 and must clearly demonstrate the capability to respond to this requirement without detriment to the AV-8B, EA-18G, and F/A-18 programs and must include personnel specifically qualified to provide the services and show they have the requisite data (engineering, technical, software, etc.) to perform these services. Written responses shall be submitted by email to kristin.ferguson@navy.mil and debra.zamarron@navy.mil or mailed to Commander, Code 254220D (K. Ferguson), NAVAIRWARCENWPNSDIV, 429 E. Bowen Rd., Mail Stop 4015, China Lake, CA. 93555-6108. The RFP will be posted on or before 3 January 2013 and award of the contract is expected to occur in August 2013.
