Description
The purpose of this amendment to the Sources Sought Notification is to inform potential offerors that FLCSI Rota Spain will be holding an Industry Day conference on 18 December 2018 at NSA Rota Spain Bldg 55 Floor 2 conference room. The event will begin at 9:30AM am and end at 4:30 pm on the same day. Companies are asked to send no more than four (4) representatives as seating is limited. The purpose of the industry day is to discuss the Navys plan to award the follow on contract. The Industry Day will begin with a discussion and overview of the contemplated requirement and planned contract strategy, followed by a site tour of the pier and then a one-on-one sessions if desired. RSVP: FLCSI Det Rota Spain requests that firms interested in attending the Industry Day submit company names and attendee lists no later than 1300 Local Time, 07 December 2018 via e-mail to Kevin Giardini, Contract Specialist, kevin.giardini@eu.navy.mil. Attendees that require access to the base must contact Kevin Giardini to make arrangements for base access at the email above by 1300 Local Time, 07 December 2018. The subject line of the RSVP email shall be limited to: Industry Day RSVP from (Company Name). Firms shall indicate in the RSVP email if your company desires to have a one on one session with the Government. One-on-One Sessions: These sessions will only be held in person from approximately 2:30PM to 4:30PM. The intent of these One-on-One sessions is to provide Industry a private, non-public forum to present the Government with comments, concerns and recommendations. Thus, the One-on-One sessions are designed to consist of mostly one-way communication (from the firm to the Government) as the Government does not intend to share contract strategy information outside of the larger and/or public forum. These sessions will be no longer than 30 minutes in length, may be attended by no more than 4 people per company, and will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. The Government will inform attendees of their scheduled session time no later than 18 December 2018. To assist the industry in understanding the Government requirements, the following information is provided; 1. A draft contract including sections B through J. 2. Notional sample work packages for typical availabilities being ordered off the resultant IDIQ contract. 3. Sample of existing contract delivery order. Note, the purpose of this information is to assist potential offerors to understand the work being provided under the surface ship repair IDIQ contract. Information provided herein are in draft format only. This information does not represent the final solicitation nor should it be associated with the final solicitation package. Any questions regarding the content of the industry day shall be in writing only and shall be submitted in accordance with attachment 2 format. Written questions shall be emailed to Kevin Giardini at kevin.giardini@eu.navy.mil by 4:00PM Local time on 12 December 2018. The Government may elect to not respond to any questions after 4:00PM local time on 12 December 2018. General Stipulations and Disclaimers: Recording of the event is not permitted. Other than the planned briefing materials referenced above, the Government does not plan to provide additional information for review and comment prior to the Industry Day. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. FISCSI Det Rota Spain does not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee costs in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
