- CONTENT OF RFI RESPONSE To understand each companys capability of providing a crew boat or similar. Describe offered product, and GIVE CONSIDERATION to addressing this RFI, where possible and to the extent practical. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 441222, which has a corresponding Size standard of $32.5 Million. The information obtained through this effort will be used to further assist the Government in the formulation of requirements, and acquisition approaches/plans for future investment. The Naval Oceanographic Office will not be incorporating the responses received into a request for proposal (RFP) and will not be responsible for future contract award. GENERAL This RFI is for market research purposes only in an attempt to obtain information on the following: Quantity: 1 Unaccredited requirements for a vessel (crew boat or similar) are: Condition: New or Used Vessel length: 65 feet Vessel beam: 20 feet Fuel capacity: 300 gallons Speed: 0 - 25 knots Berthing (4 - 8 persons) Equipped with a restroom Capable of deploying /towing Side Scan Sonar sensors up to 1000 lbs. Capable of deploying/recovering AUV/UUV up to 3000 lbs. The vessel should be able to operate in salt and fresh water including open waters, Intracoastal waterways, and rivers. The vessel should be able to conduct operations overnight if necessary. Up to at least 20 hours. If a multi-beam sonar is installed, then the vessel would be used to conduct multi-beam surveys. Delivery: Within 120 days. COST Provide a rough order of magnitude (ROM) substantiating data to include fees and others charges that convert all costs to the total price. Substantiation should be based on equivalent cost history with any adjustments for complexity, work content, etc. RESPONSE SUBMITTAL INSTRUCTIONS Address all inquiries to (POC) Ronald E. All responses submitted must specify on the cover page of the response or in the transmittal letter submitted with the response, the business size/status of the organization (i.e., large business, small business, certified 8(a) concern, veteran-owned, Hub-zone, women-owned, etc.). Small businesses that possess the required capability are encouraged to submit responses to this notice. This RFI is issued for the purpose of market research to determine capabilities, feasibility, and capability of sources and does not constitute a request for proposals (RFP), a request for quotes (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any capability and/or services contained in this notice. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. The Government is only seeking information, current capabilities, and industrial views of future capabilities for informational purposes. No solicitation document exists. No reimbursement will be made for any costs to provide information in response to this special notice or any follow-up information requests.
