Description
This is a request for potential vendors to respond to this requirement to determine the market for Unarmed Security Services for the Kansas City VAMC. The Veterans Administration is seeking to award a contract(s) for Unarmed Security Services for the Kansas City VAMC located at: 4801 Linwood BLVD, Kansas City, MO 64128 The contractor will provide one (1) unarmed uniformed security officer in a uniform to protect the Honor Annex located at 4251 Northern Kansas City, MO 64133. The contractor will provide the officer with cell phone 1600-0800 hours on business days (normally Monday through Friday) and 24-hour coverage on weekends and Federal holidays. This schedule equates to approximately 6774 hours per annual period of performance. The security officer at the Honor Annex will be required to conduct hourly physical checks of the entire facility to include: Perimeter fencing and gate, all exterior building doors, all interior building doors and spaces, all utility services, monitor all alarm systems in the interior of the building including intrusion alarms, fire and door alarms, maintain a log and report any discrepancy to the VA Police. The contractor will provide one (1) uniformed unarmed security officer with cell phone and one marked patrol vehicle (labeled security) 0600-1800 business days (Monday Friday) not to include weekends or Federal Holidays. This schedule equates to approximately 3012 hours per annual period of performance. The officer at the overflow parking lot located at will be required to conduct hourly checks of the parking lot and report discrepancies to the VA Police. Contractor shall provide socioeconomic status and classification (SDVOSB, SB, VOSB, etc.) The NAISC Code is 561612 and the small business size standard is 20.5 Million. All interested vendors should provide a response before 11:00 AM, 31 January 2019.
