Description

This is a sources sought notice only; it is not a request for quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine how many sources are available to provide Direct TV services for this procurement, the level of experience and qualifications, and whether it might be suitable for a specific small business socioeconomic group set-aside. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Minneapolis Health Care System is conducting market research to identify potential sources for a contract to provide DirecTV service to the Minneapolis VAHCS. The Contractor shall utilize current cable box hardware to provide television signal to the Minneapolis VAHCS. The Contractor shall utilize existing coax cable to provide television signal to the hospital. The Contractor shall provide an HD signal upgrade to the television signal. Contractor shall provide the following channels: The anticipated period of performance is a one-year base period from 1 April 2019, or date of award if later through 31 March 2020 and four (4) one-year options. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 517311 Wired Telecommunications Carriers. The Product Service Code (PSC) D304 IT and Telecom-Telecommunications and Transmission and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,500 employees. Expressions of interest shall be submitted to Shane Galles, Contract Specialist, by e-mail at shane.galles@va.gov. Responses to this announcement are due on February 7th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., MST and shall include: 1. Company profile and capability statement comparable to the marketing package your company uses in their ordinary course of business. Please ensure the following information is included: point of contact information, company business size and socioeconomic category such as: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran- Owned Small Business (VOSB), Women-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, 8(a) Small Business, small or large business company, etc. 2. Provide evidence/certification of the following: Listing of available channels line up Availability of service technicians to provide timely on-site assistance If using a sub-contractor, provide sub-contractor information and explain how limitations on sub-contracting in accordance with 13 CFR 125.6 will be met. 3. A list of current or previous contracts (within the last 5yrs.) performed, similar to this requirement. Indicate if your company has performed the service as a prime contractor or as a sub-contractor and the work effort performed by your company on the contract. Please include current point of contact information for each contract, name, e-mail, phone number, and a summary of the contract scope and dollar value. This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the VA in identifying an appropriate acquisition strategy, improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying contracting and subcontracting opportunities. Therefore, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government; no contract will be awarded from this announcement. A solicitation package is not available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this notice; neither will the Government reimburse any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.
