Description
36C25019Q0309 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE INSPECTRx MINI The Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i), Soliciting Competition. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with The Chudy Group, LLC/dba TCGRx, N1671 Powers Lake Road, Powers Lake, WI 53159. InspectRx Mini is a high-speed imager that helps facilitate the checking process, while taking up less space than a traditional medication imaging device. It will work with the ATP upgrade to increase the speed of the medication checking process, while also allowing medication corrections to be performed easier. TCGRx is the only source that can provide the InspectRx Mini for the currently owned ATP2 Automated Tablet Packaging Machine which is currently in operation in the Inpatient Pharmacy. The vendor was selected based on the availability of the InspectRx Mini that meet the specific parameters of the equipment. The Government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i), Soliciting Competition. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this by Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at COB. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.   A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
