Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, ACC-NJ, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS), intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacturing, testing, inspection, packaging and delivery of the Cartridge, 12 Gauge, Breaching M1030. The 12 Gauge, Breaching, M1030 Cartridge contains a frangible slug consisting of a plastic column wad with compressed zinc powder pellet. The slug transmits the force over specific area, such as a hinge or lock mechanism, without producing significant fragmentation that could injure the gunner. The 12 Gauge Breaching cartridge shall be compatible for use in the Mossberg Models 500/590, Remington 870 and Benelli M1014. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all materials, equipment, hard tooling, personnel, and facilities necessary to manufacture, produce, and deliver the types and quantities of deliverables specified by the contract. The cartridges to be delivered under this contract shall be of a design that has been qualified or approved by the U.S. Government in accordance with (IAW) MIL-PRF-32300A W/ AMENDMENT 1. Contractors (and/or subcontractors) with designs that have not been previously qualified shall be required provide all test data and related supporting documentation to the U.S. Government for review to verify compliance IAW MIL-PRF-32300A W/ AMENDMENT 1.
