Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal," "offeror," contractor, and "offeror" may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as "proprietary" or "confidential," intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued by VISN 2 Contracting Office in Bronx, NY for the purpose of collecting information about Lab Animal Bedding Machines Repair at the James J Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx, NY 10468. The VA is seeking to complete this requirement prior to the next 10-30 days. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 339999 All other Miscellaneous Manufacturing. The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work section of this document. (e) Contractors that are able to meet the requirements in the attached Statement of Work are encouraged to email a capability statement and full information to Megan Ross at Megan.Ross3@va.gov. - Part of the purpose of this sources sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their size status under said NAICS. If contractor is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), a Veteran Owned Small Business(VOSB), or any other special category of contractors, then contractor is responsible for providing documentation in support of this. This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. - Contractors shall also identify any Federal Supply Schedules that may carry the desired services. - Contractors shall identify pertinent point of contact for company, contractor DUNS number for size standard and socioeconomic verification in SAM, SBA, VIP, MAX (as applicable). - Contractors shall include any relevant comments about the Attachment(s) if applicable. Statement of Work Animal Bedding Machines Repair I. Introduction The James J. Peters VA Medical Center located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY is seeking repair components (air compressor, pressure switch, brackets, touch panel, memory flash card, gravity plate and receiver), repair/installation for the existing animal bedding systems to include a SMC-Roe VBDS 3900 Vacuum Bedding Dispensing System and a disposal and a Roe VBRS 9400 Vacuum Bedding Removal System. II. Information: The vendor is required to provide and install: Oil-Less Air Compressor ¼ NPT 110V 60HZ Weldment, Gravity Plate, Receiver Gravity Plate VBRS-9400-582 Cap Switch, Pressure, SMC Three Brackets for Pressure Switch Touch Panel, 6 Color C-More Memory Flash Card 512k #EZ-Flash-1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS: Contractor will provide installation and service team on-hand to answer any questions, verify all measurements and material quality, and quotes to reflect changes due to any unforeseen construction conditions. Contractor shall be present for final inspection and project sign off. Vendor shall not provide alternate products as alternate products cannot be considered. Deviation from this plan would restrict adaptability of product. Contractor shall be responsible for supervision of installation. Contractor shall meet an 8 hour work day. Contractor shall include hardware to install. The Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) will select finishes with awarded vendor. Installation shall be coordinated with COR. The installation shall occur and be completed Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Confirmation from the vendor shall be sent via email to the COR, and the COR will inspect that all products are installed and equipment is repaired. Upon completion of inspection the COR will communicate to the Contracting Officer (CO) authorizing that the parts and service has been received/completed and that the payment can be released.
