Description

This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24219B0018, Project Number 620-18-119 Remove Domestic Dead Legs, at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, FDR Montrose Campus, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York 10548-1454. This shall be a Veteran Owned Small Business(VOSB)Set-Aside. As a result, all VOSB may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220, and has a size standard of $36.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $500,000 and $1,000,000. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: 1. Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required to remove all the plumbing dead legs in all areas specified in the contract documents at the Hudson Valley VA Medical center, Montrose Campus, NY. The intent of this project is to replace the currently identified plumbing dead legs with the proper piping that eliminates the dead leg. 2. Work consists of mainly plumbing work but is not limited to dead leg removal. Also included will be cutting, repairing and painting ceilings, walls, insulation, and other associated work involved during the dead leg removal process. After all work is completed, the work areas shall be brought back to original state. Any additional dead legs discovered that is not part of this contract during the construction process shall be reported and identified to the COR who will determine further action to be taken, if any. 3. This project shall be bid as the price to complete all plumbing, asbestos abatement, insulation, and other associated work involved in the dead leg removal process. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM eastern time except as noted in the general requirements and as approved by the CO. Maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facility s fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. Project Completion: 120 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) which includes 30 days for contractor closeout. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about March 30, 2019. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov, www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet)and be registered and verified as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
