- Description
- Component Level Warehouse Inventory Program (CLWIP) Solicitation Number: N6883619Q0103 Agency: Department of the Navy Office: Naval Supply Systems Command Location: Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville Title: NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville is seeking interested parties, both large and small, traditional and non-traditional DoD contractors to offer products/services in support of Component Level Warehouse Inventory Program. Scope: NAVSUP FLC-Jacksonville is leading an effort to understand the most efficient manner to track its material supply at the component level using passive RFID or other innovative technologies. Materials are primarily stored in large capacity warehouses and currently managed using unreliable and manual processes having a direct and negative impact on fleet readiness. There are two aspects of this requirement. 1) Positive identification of material entering and leaving facilities is required via passive RFID or other technologies. 2) Collected information must be transmitted to the Navys ERP system via a common and government owned Interface Control Document (ICD). The development of this ICD is also required and is envisioned to be accomplished via consortium effort will all vendors interested in providing the component level tagging technology. In NAVSUP alone, there are hundreds of thousands of individual and high value components that require positive identification using passive RFID or other technologies. The solution provided under this effort has the potential to apply across the Navy and potentially across the DoD. Open and continuous dialogue with all interested companies is desired. Multiple party telephonic opportunities are anticipated to address common questions received in response to this announcement. Potential Demonstrations: 1) The government is contemplating holding a demonstration opportunity on Jacksonville NAS to allow vendor to demonstrate current and/or products in development that could meet this requirement. 2) The government is contemplating allowing vendors to host government participants for product demonstrations at its own facilities or facilities that it currently manages for other non-DoD customers. Contractor Responses: Interested contractors should provide any comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice to both contacts listed below via electronic mail correspondence. Education materials related to a company ™s particular solution should be provided as hyperlinked locations only. Large volume electronic mail and/or attachments will not be received through Navy computers and is strongly discouraged. Responses are requested by 18 February 2019 TECHNICAL point of contact: CDR Kirk Engler, kirk.engler@navy.mil CONTRACTING OFFICER point of contact: Mr. Troy Gunter, troyce.gunter@navy.mil NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-FEB-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
