Description

This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisitions for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority of FAR 13/105-1(b)(1) to use Simplified Acquisitions procedure for commercial items. This is a Notice of Intent for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIH-OLAO-OD3-NOI5238422 and is being issued as a Notice of Intent, under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This sole source contract will be awarded to Miltenyi Biotec Inc. The anticipated award date is February 19, 2019. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811219, which has a size dollar standard of $20.50. The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on the behalf of National Institutes of Nurses Research, intends to procure scientific equipment that is a benchtop instrument for the automated dissociation or homogenization of up to eight samples. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses submitted. Responses must be submitted no later than 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), February 8, 2019 to Mrs. Lisa Ingram via email (lisa.ingram@nih.gov) submission only. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government to determine if it can meet the above specifications described herein. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may express interest and provide a capability statement no later than February 18, 5:00PM.
