- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management (OALM), Small Business Program Office is requesting your institution's participation at the first NIH Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Industry Day. The theme is Engaging HBCUs in Federal Contracting and the target audience includes Office of Grants/Sponsored Programs employees, administrators, and faculty researchers. All are welcome! Dates: March 12-13, 2019. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily Location: NIH Main Campus at the Natcher Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland Parking is limited at the NIH campus. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation such as the Metrorail subway system which has a convenient stop (Medical Center) on the NIH campus. All visitors and government employees that are not NIH badge holders are to report to the NIH Visitor Gateway Center (check for correct name) before proceeding to the Natcher building. As a participant, your institution's representatives will have the opportunity to interact with NIH acquisition and grant representatives, NIH prime contractors and other Federal agency representatives. The subject event will facilitate strong relationships between HBCUs and NIH through exposure to the intricacies of the federal contracting process and the provision of direct access to NIH program and acquisitions officials. Participating HBCUs will also have access to representatives from other Federal agencies with information on their respective programs and resources pertaining to federal contracts and grants.
