- Notice Type: Presolicitation Notice Synopsis: PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia intends to issue a solicitation for the procurement of Hospital Beds for Home Use and accessories as Trapeze Bar and Mount, Bed Rails, and Mattress. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) manages the United States largest integrated healthcare system. Veterans healthcare is separated geographically into 21 Veterans Integrated Services Networks (VISNs) with approximately 168 VA Medical Centers (VAMCs), 1,053 outpatient sites, and various other Federal facilities to include Community Living Centers (CLCs), Vet Centers and Domiciliary. The Government intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, the anticipated period of performance is 60-months. Hospital Beds for Home Use and accessories must meet International Standards Organization (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards (ISO and IEC standard 60601-1-11, and IEC standard 60601-2-52). The Government intends to post an RFP to Federal Business Opportunities on or about March 28, 2019. The solicitation will remain open for 30-days for proposals to be submitted for evaluation. Product demonstration will be required as part of the evaluation. Specific details will be included in the RFP.
