- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a single award to a responsible vendor who can provide a lease and service agreement for a Phacoemulsifier machine, accessories and supplies required for phacoemulsification of cataracts with intraocular lens implant procedures to be performed at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, MO 65807. There is an estimated 32 cases per year with an estimated four cases to be scheduled eight times per year. This is a firm-fixed price, 100% Small Business set-aside requirement, FOB Destination and will include a base and four (4) option periods. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 532490. The Government will award to the responsible contractor(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government based on price related factors and past performance. The solicitation will be available on or after February 20, 2019 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM), database prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about March 6, 2019. Responses must be emailed to cbruner@bop.gov by the response date above. Hard copies will not be accepted. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts which they are eligible.
