Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA ™s intent to contract using single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend contract DTFAWA-11-D-00004 with UNICOM Government of Herndon, VA. This extension will allow for the continued purchase of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware (HW) that includes servers, storage systems, network devices and related services for a period of four (4) months and one two (2) month option period. UNICOM is the current provider under contract DTFAWA-11-D-00004. This contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment (SAVES) Program. This contract provides simple purchasing of COTS HW that includes servers, storage systems, network devices and related services in support of the FAA ™s information technology (IT) enterprise for the FAA ™s CONUS and OCONUS locations. The follow-on procurement for this requirement is currently in the pre-award stage and additional time is needed to complete this competition previously announced for DTFACT-15-R-00045. This extension of four (4) months and one two (2) month option period will serve to avoid any interruption in services while the FAA completes the current competition for a follow-on contract(s). Additional time may also be needed as the current contract is a single award and DTFACT-15-R-00045 allows for multiple awards. Accordingly, a competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement. If you're viewing this announcement from a source other than Federal Aviation Administration Contract Opportunities (FAACO), visit https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm/announcement/view/32589 to view the original announcement. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-FEB-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
