Industry Day Notice N69450-19-R-0508 Description: Design- Bid- Build Kings Bay Dry Dock Recapitalization, Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE), Kings Bay, Georgia Date: Tuesday, March 26, 2019 Time: 0800 “ 1700 Registration: 0800 - 0900 Location: University of North Florida; Adam W. Herbert University Center; 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224 Conference Room: Board of Trustees Room 1058 NAVFAC Southeast is seeking industry feedback for the Kings Bay Dry Dock Recapitalization, Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE), Kings Bay, Georgia. The Dry Dock Recapitalization project at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA general scope includes repairs to the dry dock concrete body, cover, and various mechanical and electrical systems support operations. The Dry Dock is a covered reinforced concrete graving dock that is 700 feet long by 100 feet wide by 67 feet deep (from coping deck). The cover is 825 feet long, by 270 feet wide, by 120 feet tall (above coping deck); and is composed of metal roof and siding, supported by a coated steel frame truss system. The project is broken into three phases due to operational requirements. At this Industry Day, specific feedback concerning phasing, scheduling, task challenges, and acquisition strategy will be requested from the participants. Breakout sessions will be provided to potential prime offerors to meet one-on-one with the Government immediately after the formal presentation. The number and length of each breakout session will depend on the number of meetings requests the Government receives. Prime contractors/firms interested in participating in the industry day breakout sessions are requested to respond via email to Contract Specialist, Ms. Barbara Czinder, at Barbara.Czinder@navy.mil by Tuesday, March 19th. Please provide your firm ™s name along with the individual(s) name and email addresses who will be attending the breakout session. Your firm will be provided the meeting time around 22 March. This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 237990 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition strategy. The estimated project range of construction project is $400,000,000 to $600,000,000. This event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with NAVFAC. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, promise to contract, or commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. NAVFAC will not assume responsibility for costs incurred by attendees for their travel expenses for this marketing event.
