Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to General Data Company of Pennsylvania, Inc. for the purchase of a laser cassette printing system. The LaserTrack AB Tissue Cassette Printing System is an integrated workflow solutions system for the pathology laboratories. This workflow laboratory system is required to improve and increase IDPB and CDC's internal lab capacity. The LaserTrack Tissue Cassette Printing Systems workflow solutions combine proven antibodies and reagents, instruments and software, delivering an unprecedented level of connectivity, which results in sharing a diagnosis without delay. Each sample received is assigned a positive ID, which is maintained throughout the entire laboratory process. Linking software manages the entire laboratory workflow, allowing one PC to monitor an unlimited number of instruments and control up to three different instruments simultaneously. This results in a significant advantage in managing the labs daily workload. This technology is available only through General Data. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
