Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veteran s Affairs Seeks to lease the following: State: Michigan City: Detroit Delineated Area: North: Seven Mile Road, South: Eight Mile Road, East: Van Dyke Road West: Gratiot Ave Minimum Rentable Square Foot: 24,116.24 Maximum Rentable Square Foot: 32,557.14 Space Type: Office Parking Spaces (Total): 100 Parking Spaces (Reserved): 15 Full Term: 4 Years Firm Term: 2 Years Option Term: 2 Years Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the lease. A fully service lease is required and the offered space shall not be in the 100-year flood plain. The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under lease in Detroit, MI that will be expiring. The space is being used as a Domiciliary. The Government will consider alternative space if it is economically advantageous. In making a determination the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that can potentially satisfy the above requirement as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, i.e. physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements, information technology and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) who have properties meeting the above criteria should submit the information listed below via email to Lee Morris, Lease Contract Specialist at lee.morris@va.gov, no later than Midnight EST, 12 OCT 2017. Information on properties submitted must include a property description, the address and the total number of parking spaces available. The VA will coordinate a market survey of properties offered for lease at a later date. Please note that this advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals.
