Description

Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) requires professional learning for special education teachers that involves designing learning events to engage teachers in research-informed tasks and productive practices that are essential for designing and delivering instruction across the content areas (initially in English language arts/literacy, mathematics and later in social studies and science) to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. The professional learning must be aligned to the rigorous expectations that are fundamental to the Alternate Content Standards-DLM/EE of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
