- Fall Protection at Mather, CA and Martinez, CA Construction Services for Project #612A4-19-009 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing an Invitation for Bid for General Construction Contractor. The project will be located at Mather, CA and Martinez, CA, Medical Centers. The intention of this project will be to; Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to perform all demolition, replacement, installation and commissioning required by the scope of work for the requirements of Project # 612A4-19-009, Install Fall Protection at Mather and Martinez, CA. The Contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment and tools, specialty services, and supervision to complete all work according to specifications. Area Description: The above project is located at the Mather (Bldg. 650) and Martinez (Bldgs. 19, 21, 24, and R1) VA Medical Center are required by the specifications. Contractor shall coordinate this project closely with COR and users to ensure that normal operations and patient care within buildings will not be interrupted. The contractor will be obligated to customize the fall protection or reroute all utilities as necessary to complete the installation and remain within manufacturer s and OSHA s specifications. The Contractor shall, unless otherwise specified, furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and all other associated appurtenances necessary to do the work required under the contract to include but not limited to items listed below. The contractor shall perform all field investigation required to adequately identify all site conditions. The duration of this project is 200 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5.M This Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be a total Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set- aside. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about March 28, 2019. Estimated project cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 Questions regarding the solicitation must be sent in writing to apolinar.vargas@va.gov.
