- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open basis the following items: 1) Aluminum Enclosure (Assembly In Accordance With drawing NAV10-001), Qty 200; 2) Aluminum Enclosure Lid (Assembly In Accordance With drawing NAV10-002), Qty 200. This requirement is sole sourced to Small Parts Manufacturing (SPM), 4401 NE MLK Jr. Blvd, Portland OR 97211 as the only vendor able to produce this requirement due to SPM manufacturing the prototype and first article testing requirements. All machining and chemical coating of the prototype have been verified as meeting Seaborne Targets engineering standards and the form factor is an exact fit for existing mounting hardware on seaborne targets. All drawings associated with the enclosure and lid are not available to be purchased. A new round of manufacturing and first article testing by another manufacturer would be detrimental as in being unable to support current fleet training and weapons testing in a timely manner.
