Sources Sought only. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified/verified Small businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 334310, Audio Visual Equipment Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 750 employees. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for this requirement, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The type of solicitation issued and the manner of advertisement will depend on the responses to this sources sought synopsis. Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Coatesville VA Medical Center has a requirement for the purchase and installation of audio visual equipment outlined below to be installed in multiple rooms at the facility. Vendor will install an A/V system consisting of a video projector, motorized projector screen, in-ceiling speakers and a small amp, and several wall mounted control boxes, one for the projector screen and one for the connection of a laptop to the system. Vendor will supply all wiring, wiring conduit, junction and control boxes and equipment necessary to install the system Vendor will install the system in accordance with all applicable building codes Vendor will provide VA POC with training Coatesville VA Engineering department will provide electricity to points identified by the vendor. Salient Characteristics for the Media Project 1. Projector a. Must be at least 5000 lumens white brightness and color brightness to ensure clear visibility by all in the room b. WUXGA resolution to utilize wide screen display for ability to have multiple programs or documents on the screen at the same time c. Full HD support for a variety of image sources d. Up to 15000:1 contrast ratio to ensure clarity when displaying text and graphics e. Aspect ratio 16:10 to utilize wide screen display 2. Projector Screen a. Ceiling Mount b. 16x10 format c. 113 diagonal/60 highx96 wide d. Preset adjustable limit switches to auto stop screen in the up or down position 3. Projector mount a. Quick connect/disconnect for ease of lamp access b. Maintains registration when projector is removed and reattached c. Independent roll, pitch, and yaw adjustments for precise alignments with the screen 4. Ceiling Mounted Speakers a. Minimum 50W Continuous Power RMS 5. Speaker Amplifier a. Minimum 50W per channel Continuous Power RMS 6. Installation a. Installer ensures that all equipment meets or exceeds the salient features requested b. Installer guarantees a clean, professional installation c. Installer ensures that all equipment documentation is assembled in a binder for our use when the job is finished. This includes all associated software installation discs. d. Installer educates and reviews all equipment functions with the MH POC/COR for this project. Submission Requirements for responses to this Sources Sought Notice: (1) Your intent to submit a quote for this solicitation when it is formally advertised. (2) Name of firm with address, phone and point of contact. (3) Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your capabilities to meet this requirement and what facilities you can provide to. (4) A copy of SAM.GOV active registration. Must reflect Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) and Small Business Administration Certification of Small Business Type, (Reps/Certs) (5) A statement addressing your socioeconomic status such as Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Hubzone, etc. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received by 11:00am EST, February 28, 2019.
