This Sources Sought is a market research tool being utilized to determine if there are a sufficient number of qualified vendors for set-aside prior to issuing a request. In conjunction with Public Law 109-461, the Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM) are seeking vendors in the following: Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) This is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. All responses will be provided by an e-mail response. STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFORMATION Title of Project: Membership and Sponsorship for various building industry associations Objective: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Construction & Facilities Management s (CFM) seeks to maintain access to data, information, and collaboration opportunities in an effort to enhance its design and construction programs. Scope of Work: Contractor will provide CFM with specialized information, tools and data to support development and administration of VA s design and construction programs. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Construction & Facilities Management s (CFM) Facilities Standards Service (FSS) has a mission to provide standards and processes which support high-quality, high-value facilities for Veterans, their families and service providers. FSS continues to strive to align planning, design and construction standards with national codes, industry standards and best practice developments. Performance Period: One year from date of award with four 12-month option years. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price Place of Performance: Contractor s facilities / Virtual SPECIFIC TASKS AND DELIVERABLES The contractor shall provide CFM membership in the National Industry of Building Science with the following benefits: access to all member-accessible NIBS publications, tools, and products and full membership rights to CFM to participate on all NIBS councils, including the following: Academy for Healthcare Institute Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council Building Seismic Safety Council BuildingSMART Alliance Council Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council Integrated Resilient Design Program Low Vision Design Committee Multihazard Mitigation Council National Mechanical Insulation Committee Off-Site Construction Council Sustainable Buildings Industry Council Contractor shall provide CFM with a membership and sponsorship with the buildingSMART alliance with the benefits to include: continued access to the National BIM Standard and other products developed by the alliance, a seat on the buildingSMART alliance Board of Direction and up to fifteen (15) individual memberships and the ability to continue with the development and the maintenance of National BIM Standard in consultation with VA. Contractor shall provide CFM with a membership and sponsorship with the Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) with the benefits to include: continued access to all WBDG resources, including tools and guidance, Federal Facility Criteria, and continuing education courses. Contractor shall provide CFM with a minimum of one seat on all WBDG boards and committees.
