Description

This is a presoliciation notice IAW FAR 5.201(b)(1)(ii) for a proposed sole-source contract action to purchase approximately an additional 20 Mod 5F midsections under contract FA820414D0001 (NSN: 1115-01-339-3706 NB; Air Force Part# 78J40066G7) over a 3-5 year period ending approximately March 2022 -2024. The proposed solicitation number if FA820414R5FMID. The anticipated date of award is April 2019. Statutory authority is FAR 6.302-1, 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to solicit and award to Textron System Corporation, 201 Lowell St. Wilmington MA 01887. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Must be an Air Force Qualified Manufacturer to produce this product and qualification standards/process are available upon request. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Air Force will not pay for either the effort or associated costs to respond, or for any information provided. The Statement of Objectives is available to authorized DoD contractors. The proposed contract action is for an additional 3to 5 year period. This is not a set-aside. One or more items under this acquisition are subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
