- The FAA is seeking experienced firms to provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, and supervision to provide the scope of work in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove existing AHU-1, AHU-2, AHU-3, and AHU-11A in the Auto-Wing first floor mechanical room #11 IA, including: a) AHU-1, AHU-2 and 3: Underfloor partial branch chilled and hot water, steam, condensate, and drain piping; floor stands, partial supply air ductwork, electrical cables, and preparation for new work. b) Cap the disconnected hot water, steam, and steam condensate piping. c) AHU-11A: Intake air ductwork and partial supply air duct work, above floor hot water piping, pumps, and partial chilled water piping above floor. 2. Provide new AHU-1, AHU-2, AHU-3 and AHU-1 IA per schedules on drawing ZAU-D-ARTCC-M225, including: a) AHU-1 and AHU-3: Provide packaged down flow units with variable speed, direct drives, floor stands and turning vanes. b) AHU-2: Provide packaged up flow unit with variable speed, direct drive, floor stand and supply air plenum. c) AHU-1, AHU-2 and AHU-3: Provide all required new branch chilled and electric re heat, water humidifier system, cooling drain piping, and two-way control valves with miscellaneous materials as shown on drawings ZAU-D-ARTCC-M225 and ZAU-D ARTCC-M226. d) AHU-11A: provide unit with VFD, shaft grounding ring, electric heater, and partial above floor chilled water piping. 3. Provide 1/2-inch domestic cold water copper line for humidifiers from nearby source in ceiling of Automation Wing Basement Critical Power Vault, Room 13A. 4. Modify existing raised floor system to accommodate the configuration of new air handling units. 5. Provide new BacNet DDC points and module as required for a complete functional control system. 6. Testing and balancing the completed systems. 7. All other new work as shown on drawings. PERFORMANCE TIME “ 120 CALENDAR DAYS THE TOTAL ESTIMATED PRICE OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IS BETWEEN $252,000 and $500,000. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS WILL BE REQUIRED. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. This acquisition will be a competed action. A mandatory site visit, for all general contractors, will be conducted at a date and time to be determined. The contractor awarded the contract must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov VERBAL REQUESTS FOR THE SIR WILL NOT BE HONORED. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT AND SCOPE OF WORK WITHIN THE LAST THREE YEARS. General contractors must submit their interest for subject project on letterhead and include the firm's name, address, e-mail, phone number, fax number, and point of contact, provide a statement that your firm has an active registration in SAM and can provide the adequate bonding required. Submit your letter of interest to melody.mcgovern@faa.gov no later than March 8, 2019. Screening Information Request is anticipated to be release on or before April 1, 2019.
